If you fix this, you’ll be able to better engage your chest and triceps while putting less stress on your shoulders.

Make sure to spread your fingers out wide, with your middle finger turned out slightly. Distribute your weight evenly throughout your hand; avoid putting too much weight on the inside or outside of your hand.

Place your hands about shoulder width; going too wide can also be too stressful on the rotator cuff and shoulders.
