Hey there! I’m Kurt Rawlins, and I’m here to give you the opportunity to join the hundreds of people I’ve helped get stronger, leaner, and sexier through my custom training programs.

Let me tell you a little story about how I got started in this industry…

I was lying on the ground, dazed, and my neck was KILLING me.

I had just been run over by a 225 lb. fullback in my first start on the varsity football team. At a scrawny 160 lbs., I probably had no business being on the field that day.

I felt feeble, puny and embarrassed. It was the intercity game against our big rival and I had just been run over like a freight train.

That was the tipping point for me. I hated feeling weak, injury prone and fragile.

Skinny, scrawny Kurt was in the past. I was going to forge a new, strong, muscular body by committing myself to the weight room.

That’s exactly what I did – and I’ve never looked back since. And I found a passion helping other people do the exact same.

Although I did party A LOT in college (who didn’t?), I managed to earn a B.S. in Physical Education. I’ve also achieved the prestigious Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association. I’ve held my American College of Sports Medicine Personal Trainer Certification as well as my International Society of Sports Nutrition (ISSN) Certification. I currently run Kurt Rawlins Fitness in Chicago, where we have 4 coaches on staff and specialize in 30 minute semi-private programs for busy professionals.

Enough about me, let’s get to you.

No one-size-fits-all programs here…I will customize your program for your unique goals and circumstances…all the while making sure you not only reach your goals, but do things you never thought possible!
As you can see, I get my clients results, and I’d love the opportunity to do the same for you. However, I only have a few spots left, and I certainly don’t accept everyone into my program.

Consistency and routine is critical if you want to reach your fitness goals. When you get off track (because it will happen, trust me), I’ll be there to get you back on course. Again – all of my training programs are customized. I’ve dealt with every type of client imaginable – from clients with a history of low back pain, knee surgeries, metabolic syndrome, shoulder and elbow pain, rheumatoid arthritis, you name it – I’ve seen and can design a program around it. You CAN workout and achieve your goals, regardless of your limitations.

First, we’ll start with a thorough Success Session over the phone to discuss your unique goals and how you got to where you are now. After this conversation, I’ll have a clear picture of how I can best develop a plan to help you get you where you want to be in a specific time frame.

Got a wedding in 3 months? Cool – let’s get started and I’ll have your back, shoulders and arms looking ridiculous.

Once we start, I’ll be checking on you regularly to make sure you’re progressing. Not sure how to do an exercise? Don’t worry. Every exercise comes with a link to a video to show you exactly how to perform it correctly. Still not sure? Send me a video of your form and I’ll critique it to make sure you progressing pain-free.

Custom Nutrition Coaching

Once your training is nailed down, there’s a good chance you’ll need some help with nutrition.

In this case, I’m a big believer in do what works for you.

Paleo, If It Fits Your Macros, Low Carb, Carb Cycling, Ketogenic, Intermittent Fasting…yada yada yada.

Guess what?

I’ve seen them all work. The key is see what style of eating works best for you.

You’ll need to be able to eat the unhealthy foods you enjoy at least occasionally, and I get that.

Expert Guidance and Accountability

In my training programs, I combine a customized training program and a nutritional approach that fits your lifestyle. The key is helping you do it in a way that is sustainable for the long term. Otherwise you’ll find yourself right back where you started 12 weeks later.

Habits and developing a routine trump quick fixes every time.

If your goal is to drop fat, get a tighter butt and midsection, and get in the best shape of your life, you’re going to need a coach to do it. Sure you might be able to do it on your own, but then you’re just guessing the best route there.

What Types of Clients Do I Coach?

I’ve trained several different types of clients, but my bread and butter clients are busy professionals and parents between the ages of 25-50 who are stressed and strapped for time.

Please complete the application below if you are over 18 and:

  • You have at least some experience with strength training.You don’t have to have years of weightlifting under your belt, but at least a little experience is a huge plus. Complete newbies are probably going to need some in-person instruction, at least at first.
  •  You’re willing to work hard. Look, this whole getting in shape thing isn’t easy – I’m not going to lie. If I knew how to get you in the best shape of your life AND make it easy, I’d be a millionaire many times over. The fact is it’s going to involve a heavy dose of sweat and commitment. Are you up for it? If not, seriously – my program is NOT for you.
  • You’re willing to learn to adhere to some new, life-changing habits. This includes your training program as well as some dietary alterations. Again, we’ll find a nutritional plan that works with you and your lifestyle.



Do I need a gym membership?

No. I will design a program that works with what you have at your disposable. That being said, if you’re working out at home, I’ll advise you to at least have adjustable dumbbells and an adjustable bench. A TRX and a stability ball are huge plusses as well.

Is this for both men and women?


Are there age limitations?

Minimum? Yes, you need to be 18+ years old. Sorry junior. As far as age limits there are none as long as you have full medical clearance for activity.

How does payment work?

Payment is 100% secure payment via PayPal or credit card. Each month you’ll have an invoice on the first of the month. After signing up, you’re obliged to the full three-month commitment of your program.

How long does the program run?

All programs are custom made. We do hold a three-month minimum on all plans, but many of our clients have kept working with us for years.
