I have been training with KRF since October 2015–I initially signed up for a 16 day program, not knowing what to expect or if I would continue. However, I not only saw significant changes in my body during those two weeks, I also started to FEEL better about my body and my overall health. “A few friends of mine had been seeing Kurt for training sessions for a few months before I finally decided to see what his training was all about. As a former athlete, I’ve played sports all of my life and through college so I’ve never seen the value in hiring a personal trainer or spending crazy amounts of money on ala carte fitness classes like the rest of Chicago. I knew enough to stay fit and continue to compete in running events or recreational sport. The beauty in being an athlete though is that ‘enough’ is never really enough and I needed something to fall in love with again athletically. Mark lost 5.5% body fat in 6 months. That translates to 6.5 lbs. of muscle gained and 11.5 lbs. of fat lost. Before training with Kurt, I was in need for a change. I had consistently kept myself in decent shape for well over a decade with a mix of distance running, hiking, and moderate resistance workouts but things had gone stale at that time.

The groups are a max of three and this keeps the price very reasonable and allows for more frequent training which = more benefit. My husband first started going to Kurt and I started noticing huge results in him and frankly was a little jealous. I had just had 2 kids and was stuck in a rut and needed some motivation to get back into working out. My husband encouraged me to start seeing Kurt. I used to work out pretty consistently before having kids and thought I pretty much knew what I was doing at the gym but Kurt has taught me so much. My husband and I both agree that we would never have known our potential without Kurt pushing us. I would never have attempted to lift or squat the amount of weight that I do now. I was never very comfortable using the free weights at the gym because I wasn’t exactly sure what exercises to do or if I was doing them correctly. Kurt has corrected my form and given me much more confidence when working out on my own. I have muscles that I didn’t know I could ever have and feel absolutely amazing! If my husband hadn’t pushed me to get started I would have always thought that I could just do it on my own, but after going to Kurt and learning so much from him, I now realize that I would never have been able to do it on my own.
